7 month update-Part II

I stopped writing yesterday, because the post was getting too long and I really wanted to post it before I got called away for midnight feeding duty. But there is still so much more, that I have to share.

For starters,Aadya pulled herself to a kneeling position on Sunday,October 28th.I made a mental note,to never leave her in the crib with the railing down. DH was busy taking pictures and little Missy fell down. But this time, the railing was already up and she couldn’t get up! Ha Ha I thought to myself,I can still keep her in the crib, with the railing up. And just then, very effortlessly, she grabbed the railing and stood up.. Just like that!! And since then, No leaving her sitting in the crib!

OK, Now, haven’t I told you how Aadya has this tradition of achieving milestones-big or small, around and ON the day of her monthly birthday? So, how could she disappoint us this month. And before you read further,I have to tell you-Blinking is strictly not allowed in Aadyaland. Why, you ask? Well, because I looked away for 2 minutes and my daughter sat up!!! Yes!! She was lying down and the next minute I see her sitting up! Now how cool is that! Yesterday,I put Aadya on the floor- I reorganised the furniture on Monday,so that she has all the space to crawl! There are still some pieces missing, once the living room is completely set up,I will post pictures. So,not digressing..Aadya was on the floor,crawling..exploring and enjoying her new found mobility. I was happy and was finishing up some work,in the dining area. DH came home and I took that moment to turn on the computer. And I check on Aadya and what do I see-She is sitting up!! I asked DH..did you help her..DH,keeping up with the Halloween spirit, says, yeah I am a ghost with long stretching arms. Well he did have a point – he was standing at the far far end, watching her. Wish he had grabbed the Handy cam! So, she had managed to do it all on her own. “On Her Own”reminds me of Parul -Girl you are so funny!

Speaking of funny,Aadya is no less. She loves to pat everything these days. Yeah, I know they all do. Read on- I had just finished nursing Aadya and was just buttoning up and suddenly grubby little hand goes pat-pat. yeah she patted my boobs. I looked at her and she looked up at me and grinned broadly, patted again as if to say “good job”! Mad Momma, here’s your chance to get even !

“Good Job” and “Good Girl” are two phrases that make Aadya very happy. Sometimes, saying that makes her open her mouth wide and so,I can put in the next spoonful of her cereal. So far, she doesn’t like anything tangy-so, baby foods-apple&peach are out. Now, we tried peach first and she didn’t like it.The next thing we tried was squash. Both of these are yellow in color. And she recognises that. So, she just doesn’t open her mouth for the first spoonful. Then slowly I put a little dash on her lips, she licks it and then decides OK this is not that yucky thing.. so I can eat it! And when she likes something, every spoonful is answered by a happy ummmmmmmmmmmm. If she doesn’t like something,it gets spat back!

And how can I forget the hugs and kisses-there is no dearth of those here in Aadyaland. In fact we are baby-handled so often, that at at given time, atleast one of us is walking with tousled hair. Oh and guess what is the new safety object? Mamma’s hair-conveniently cut, just the right length for Aadya to grab at.Now, When she is crying, when she is cuddling, when she wakes up, when she is sleepy.. the first thing that that light hand reaches for is Mamma’s hair. Though when the play gets rough, its a pain, but it does make me feel happy secretly! There is so much more I wanted to write, but now I cant seem to keep my thoughts together and will stop here.

So, you can see it has been an interesting month..Pictures will follow shortly..:)

7 month update-Part I

Aadya turns 7 months old today and she is getting naughtier and naughtier and some more. She is constantly babbling now.Her favorite words are Papa..pa.babbaba,mammamma,naaa,nammana,gaah,kaaah.When I am rocking her to sleep, she is talking or babbling.Till a few weeks back, she would just be singing aaaaa. She knows who her Papa is –Every time we ask her -Where is Papa? She looks at him. If she is already looking at him,she points at him with a slight lift of her chin. Ask her Where is Mamma? and all you get is blank looks. So, guess who is walking around with a big head, these days?

Finally, she has figured out how to crawl forward and not backwards. She crawled forward for the first time on Saturday(Oct 27th) and since then she has been going forward. While crawling seems like lot of fun and she is now enjoying her new mobility, still when she has crawled enough and she is bored, guess who gets to build some muscles?Mamma!

As soon as Aadya spots Mamma, she stretches her arms and starts cooing ..no no correction, not just cooing, calling out to mamma. And all hell breaks loose if Mamma is late in picking her up.Most days, its so bad that this little Missy doesn’t want to sit down at all..Well,No,she does sit down,as long as I am sitting down with her. If I get up to grab a glass of water or something, the crying starts, complete with big fat tears rolling down the cheeks.

Her latest favorite toy is Mamma’s cell phone-that and anything and everything Mamma touches. Picture this-Aadya sitting on her play mat, playing with some random toy.Seeing her busy,Mamma sneaks off to get her book and a bottle of water. Suddenly Aadya looks up,sees her leaving and starts screaming. Mamma grabs the nearest empty bottle of water(yeah we have lots of bottles) and throws it on the play-mat. Aadya leaves the random toy and grabs the bottle. Mamma comes back and sits down with her bottle and book. Now Aadya wants the book..so she scrambles over, climbs all over mamma, trying to grab the book.Mamma keeps the book aside, distracts Aadya with her toys.Attention diverted,Mamma drinks some water-Now Aadya wants the bottle…and so it continues!

Aadya think “No” is a joke. All Mamma has to say is No! and Aadya starts giggling. If Mamma gets angry,Aadya giggles more! Now,every time Papa calls,Aadya has to talk to him. And all his questions are answered with a beautiful chuckle and big smiles. If he could see those,he would be working from home all days.Masi’s web-calls are also happily answered now..big smiles and lots of babbling.

This month has been really eventful and there are so many new skills that Aadya has learnt and mastered. And there are so many naughty things that I have to share with you, that this update will run into a second part. For now,I will just say-

Happy 7th Month,Baby! Love you!

To be continued

Some more updates

Let me start listing some milestones..some silly some not so silly…
Aadya attended her first potluck party and I must say she was such a sweetheart playing happily, gurgling at anyone who smiled at her and going to anyone who wanted to pick her up.She posed happily with everyone. That day she got to dip her feet in a pool and she absolutely loved it.
*************

This was Aadya’s First Move and her First big Road trip-3 day long and she was a great sport about being in her car-seat.The only time she fussed through out the trip was when she needed a diaper change.Otherwise, she played with her toys, talked to mumma, or napped. We took breaks every 3 hours..for her feeds.
She also got her First Sip of water and she loved it and couldnt get enough of it. Finally I had to hide her bottle. hehe If I gave her a sip of water and then, started to put the bottle away, she would grab at it with both hands and gulp furiously, wetting her t-shirt in the whole deal!
Next, on the second night of our travel, we went to a restaurant for dinner. It was at a comfortable walking distance from our hotel,so we didnt take her stroller or car seat.We decided to see if she likes sitting in a high chair.. and so we propped her up in a high chair( you guessed it) for the very First time ! And she had a ball! she enjoyed it thoroughly! She leaned forward towards the table and batted her hands to grab at whatever was in her reach!

Now Bigger and more important ones-

She tried to stand up for the First time.Yes you read it right. This was on 3rd Sept. I was packing our big bag and Aadya was sitting in my lap. slowly she slipped out and was on the floor. And the next thing I know held on to the bag and stood up.. just like that! There was a frantic rush to find the camera in all the mess.. unforunately by then she had fallen, head first..coz this adventurous gal decided to go one step forward and stand without support! And obviously she had tumbled over.

And then… September 16th.

We were unpacking. DH was in the guestroom and me in the bathroom,Aadya in her crib. She played for sometime and then got bored.. slowly the whining started..followed by loud cries. I called out to her from the bathroom. She was quiet for a little while..and then started whining again. This time I didnt reply. She was getting irritated, babbling angrily and suddenly I heard “MAMMA” so clear..I dropped whatever I was doing and ran to her.. but by then she was babbling something else. DH thinks its just my imagination..but I swear i heard her say it!:)
I know she doesnt even know what she is saying just yet.. and this is just some syllables put together in frustration.. just like her “unge”,”Naiiii”ummmmaaa”kyyaaaaaa”kaaaaaaaaa”jaaa”baaaa”…
But.. what can I say..Mamma is just too vain to not think about it 🙂

5 month update n more

Aadya turned 5 months old on August 30th and this time we celebrated the day by eating pizza out of the box..sitting surrounded by boxes. We were packing to move. Aadya was just having fun crawling around. There were so many things to grab at.
There are so many things to write..I just dont know where to start.hmmm..ummm…
Ok,Let me start with my favorite!
Aadya has learned to hug and Kiss. Yes.. after that lone kiss ..that I was so excited about, her mind got side-tracked with other interesting activities 🙂 So, Mumma was busy packing and Aadya was in her crib.It had been over 2 hours since Aadya saw Mumma..and so when Mumma went to pick her up,Aadya Baby puts her arms around mamma’s neck and kissed her! Mumma was on top of the world..Papa kept trying after that.. but he had to wait a good 4-5 days before being blessed :)Its Kissesgalore in Aadyaland
Now,this little monkey just doesnt want to stay on her back. No Sireee! If we put her on her back, she balances her upper body on her elbows, raise her legs to a 45 degree angle and stays like that forever..taking a few breaks in between. you see,she wants a washboard stomach..and its not easy maintaining that. The rolling over continues- now far more effortlessly than before. And when madam gets tired of elbow props and rolling over.. she wants to sit! Yes! sitting is the name of the game. And guess what? now she doesnt even need the support of our hands..How cool is that??!!??
**************
We have a drama queen in the making. The moment I put her down, the crying starts and as soon as I even reach to pick her up,the sad face turns into a big toothless grin.Ohh Wait..not just a toothless grin, but one loud toothless grin! Yes..We now know how to squeal with delight!!And giggle.Mumma had to experiment. She lowers her on the bed..waaaaaaaaah wahhhhhhhhh….the crying starts;Pretent to pick her up,the smiles and giggles..hehehehehe.. The belly laugh is so cute!Mumma-papa keep trying various tricks to make her laugh! This little one is so ticklish… or is it just the idea of being tickled, that makes her laugh..I am yet to figure that out. The moment we take our hands close to her tummy, the giggles start!
Papa has been conducting his own experiments too..
Angry face, knit brows, he says..”Chotu!” Short, crisp, sharp! The lower lip starts quivering..
Smiley faced..”Arre Nahi na Chotu!” said with more love n drama..a big grin lights up her face!
*******************
Oh!! and did I tell you she knows her name now!Yes!!!This happenned in the first week of being 5 months old! On 2nd September,I think.* I wish I had noted down the date then*
So, she may be busy playing or pushing herself on her butt or crawling, call her “Aadya”,she pauses and looks at you..with a smile. And then if someone else says her name.. the attention is directed to that person. You can go on blabbering whatever you want..important or not,one sureshot way of grabbing her attention is to say “Aadya”.
And boy does she talk!! Ohh yes!! all the time.. i hear different sounds every day…and thats one thing that keeps her entertained!no matter where we are, at home, in a park, at the library, at the mall.. this little imp starts her babbling.. and if someone so much as looks at her, that person is included in the conversation!

Still have so many things to write about…but I think I will publish this post and then continue working on others.

My Little Froggie

Date- August 21st,2007
Time- 8.15 pm
I was getting aadya ready for bed. Our bed-time routine starts at around 7:30 pm wih a massage, followed by tummy-time and bath. Then, moisturise, get into PJs,a few minutes in the crib with the butterflies and then rock off to dreamland.
That day, after finishing the body massage,I sat Aadya up for a head massage. She has been sitting with support for quiet some time now.And after the head massage,I just let her sit with the support of my folded legs.I saw her lean towards the mat. I didnt really pay attention to it.That’s because these days, she is so attracted to colors. And tries to touch the pattern on the sheet or mat, even on our clothes. So,I let her lean, thinking she is probably found something interesting on the mat. but she just stayed that way leaning downwards. So I looked to see what was it that she was so interested in.And what do I see? My little girl is trying to focus all her energy into sitting. She was concentrating on balancing her weight on her hands! I slowly slipped away from her.. And there she was Sitting!! All by herself!! Like a froggie!
Two little fists, digging into the rug, one tiny head focusing on staying that way. I called out to DH,he came running not knowing what was going on.He just looked at Aadya and smiled. and then I slipped even further away from her! And His eyes widened!!OUR BABY WAS SITTING UNAIDED FOR THE FIRST TIME!! DH grabbed the camera. And clicked her pics. She stayed that way for a good 3-4 minutes, even raising her head victoriously and smiliing at her dad!

( P.S. This picture was taken next day.And though it does look like she has the support of my leg, there was a good 3-4 inches distance between her butt and my foot!)

I was so proud!Am so proud of my little Angel. We sent SMSes to everyone! And then there were calls from proud grandparents. And this little achiever, oblivious to all the frenzy she had created!
Another milestone, another achievement, another sign that she growing up. My baby is growing up!
God bless you,my little froggie!

Tales from Aadyaland

The first Sleepover.

Last weekend Aadya had her first Sleepover guests.I say,it was Aadya’s Sleepover party, because thats how things are these days. All our friends want to come over ,so that they can spend more time with AADYA!
So,When we invited our friends C&L to come over for the weekend, they gladly accepted our invitation,so that they could spend more time with Aadya. We went and picked them up on Friday night.C had made some great chicken Curry. L and DH have become very good friends over the last few months but the first time I got to meet C was at the party and we just hit it off. That was incidentally where I met Baby J’s mom too.
And the result was this sleepover.
The plan was for them to come over and spend friday night with us,dinner, movies, long chats and then a late brunch and picnic on saturday morning and finally we dropping them off on saturday evening. But,it just seemed like all the time had come to a standstill.Friday night was slightly rough with the beginning of Stranger Anxiety in Aadya..but that calls for another post. After dinner and chit-chat we sat down to watch a movie at 12.00 am. Movie and midnight dessert. It had been ages since we did that. And they were both great sports about pausing the movie, for Aadya’s feeds or fuss 🙂
Next morning,we were a little late getting up but C&L had made themselves at home. It was nice to see them relaxed.I got to the business of making breakfast.DH and L were busy surfing the net and discussing PS3 games, while C watched over Aadya and played with her.Even rocking to sleep, for her morning nap. With Aadya down for her nap and the breakfast all ready,we sat down to eat.The Menu was- Masala Puffs and Vermicelli halwa and Cold coffee to wash it down with.Aadya woke up in time to shower us with her smiles just as we were finishing up.Breakfast done with, we got down to the business of enjoying. Looking at the hot day outside,we decided to postpone the drive to the lake to a little later in the day and we sat down to watch a show online that we all enjoy. While I cooked,DH and L sipped beers, while we girls sipped our coke..(me milk, actually) and munched on telly-time snacks. It was just a relaxed relaxed weeekend. No rush-rush, no formalities..Just fun. Again the show was paused atleast twice for me to nurse Aadya. We are used to watching movies and shows that way.. but it was really nice that C&L didnt mind it.Even offering to rewind and pause for me!
Just as we were sitting down to eat Lunch, someone glanced at the microwave clock and it was 5 pm! We gobbled up…everyone offering the last chapati to the other one..It just never felt like we had met only recently.
We were having so much fun, DH casually asked them,if they would like to stay another night and they agreed! And the fun continued.More movies, more chit-chats.We went out to pick up Chicken biryani from our favorite Indian restaurant, the only one here to serve biryani like in India.
Aadya was having such a nice time with these guys. Though C was the one holding her and playing with her more..she took a fancy to L. She would keep looking at him or calling him till he didnt look back or talk to her.. and he was almost always instantly rewarded with a smile. All through the weekend,we kept telling them-“You guys are so good with kids,we saw it at the party and then with Aadya…You guys should have a baby soon..”Only to be met with shy smiles 🙂
Sunday morning,we talked some more over a breakfast. The menu this time was-Egg bhurji and toasts,Poha and cold coffee. These guys were again so cool and gulped down our “sweetened with Splenda” cold coffee without a fuss.It was like time was flying and we still had so much to talk.So many funny memories to share and to make so many new ones. After breakfast,we went to drop them back but, the house suddenly felt so empty. After so many years, we felt that way. The way your house just seems empty after your family or cousins come for a visit and leave.
And what timing? Finally when I was at peace with this move and looking forward to a new place,I meet all these lovely people. I get attached to people very easily. And if its someone that is on the same wavelength then, that attachment increases 10-folds.When DH told me,that we would be moving from AZ,I was excited. All these months here..almost 11 months,I was so lonely .DH was working long hours. I hardly knew anybody. And for the first time,I was just “more-than-happy” to leave. I thought I was growing up.But The Big Man up there had some other plans.
These last two weeks here have been so nice.So much fun.It feels so nice to be able to call up and talk to someone, without calculating the time difference or thinking before speaking.I am so glad, we cut our trip to the Grand Canyon short and ran into all these lovely people. Hope we stay in touch!

Tales from Aadyaland

My Hi-tech baby

This is what Aadya got as a gift from a friend.Kids these days are going hi-tech. Mommy still doesn’t own a MP3 player or an IPOD..and here Aadya has this
Needless to say ,Daddy is really happy..And this baby is clueless.. She didn’t care much about the gift.. her main interest was the gift-giver..Baby Janis, a 2 month old.
We took aadya to visit with her last weekend.
She did everything to try and attract Janis’s attention-by calling her, crawling over to her..cooing.. smiling at her parents and finally when nothing worked..complaining to her Papa!!It was so much fun watching both the babies together. if one cooed the other would too. We put them both on their backs and they moved their limbs in perfect tandem! It was like watching a perfectly choreographed act. Both the dads went crazy taking pictures and shooting Videos!
One funny thing about that visit was..When we reached there, baby J was sleeping and Aadya was getting fussy/hungry just as we were reaching. The moment we entered Aadya started bawling.I took her to the bedroom to nurse her.. Her crying had woken up Janis and she was playing happily in her crib, quietly. So, we got down to the business of Nursing. But have I told you.. that Aadya doesn’t let her anger go unnoticed. So,she unlatched herself to scold Mumma.. and Baby J heard her. And then it was Janice’s turn to coo.And as if cued in,Aadya latched on fiercely and possessively, her hand resting on my breast..as if to mark her territory!
Baby J is such a sweet baby..Cries also so softly..From what I could tell she looked like a sweet-tempered baby.. Just like her mom..This was the second time I met this girl and I already feel so close to her.

That day for the first time after Aadya’s birth,I sat down for lunch, without Aadya in my lap. Why? Because Baby J’s grandma, another sweetie, took both the babies to the bedroom. Asked us- new parents, to eat, while she took care of them. I was mentally prepared to go and pick up Aadya half way through the meal.We had just loaded our plates with the yummy food and I heard Aadya cry. I went to the bedroom, only to be shooed away by Aunty. After 2 minutes, the crying stopped..And then after 10 minutes which stretched like an eternity,I couldn’t control myself..and went to peek..and Lo! what do I see? Both the babies are comfortably sleeping..One on her grandma’s shoulder and the other in the car seat fixed on the stroller!I am so in awe of Aunty. The way she took care of my baby.. has filled my heart with so much love for her..There was just no difference between her care of Aadya or Janis.
Yesterday they came over to spend the day with us. It was just so nice.It was like meeting cousins. The thing that touched me most was- Aadya’s Massage. As I sat down to Massage Aadya before her bath,Aunty offered to do it for me. I was pleasantly surprised. That sweet lady, put a cloth on her stretched legs and started to massage my baby,methodically..Not flinching when the baby cried. She kept talking to her calmly all through the massage session.Midway through Aadya started bawling..literally..but unfazed she finished the massage and handed over my baby to me!It really warmed me up.. because this was the first time, someone did something so selflessly, for my baby and me and making it sound like “not-a-big-deal” and brushing away my thanks with just a “Arre, not a problem,I liked doing it”.Others have offered too,but a crying (read screaming)baby is enough to unnerve them.First time since my pregnancy and delivery..these people made me feel so loved and so treasured.. and my baby so much more special and pampered!!
Thanks Aunty!

My 4 month old!

Aadya turned 4 months old on 30th July and mommy still hasnt been able to update the blog about it and to think,Aadya is the star of the blog! So, today as Aadya is busy screaming with joy as Papa, plays with her, Mumma sits down to write about her 4-month old.
Screaming? you ask..Yes screaming. She is a screamer. She has learnt to squeal and scream. She squeals with joy, when her dad comes home. She squeals with joy when I go to pick her up after her alone time on the playmat .She squeals when talking to her butterflies. Its as if she is practicing the squeals..all the time.Sometimes she even tries to add a squeal or two when she is crying. That is so funny. She is quick to show her discomfort too. When she is mad,she turns red in her face and screams!
She has learned to sit up with support and if we give her our thumbs or fingers to hold, when she is lying down..she has to sit up on her own and not satisfied with that, she has learned to stand up! This is one determined little child.2 days after she turned 4 months old, she decided that she doesnt need our support to get up, and since then she has been trying to sit up on her own, supporting her upper body with her elbow and with sheer willpower, she raises her self to an almost sitting position, kinda like a scoop!
Aadya has 2 new friends now.The fan and the iron board. She favors the iron board over the fan and the butterflies over the iron board.
This little girl is a social bee..She loves to have people around her. We take her to the mall and she is so excited, refusing to sleep.. as if to take in all the pretty sights.
She is constantly babbling..constantly!And when she gets sleepy, she wants to sing herself to sleep too. Her nap routine is like this- Two yawns and rubbing eyes and mumma knows its nap time.and touch wood, its more or else the same time everyday.. just 10-15 minutes here and there. So, mumma wipes her face, puts her in the sleeper sack and takes her to the bedroom. We sit in the rocking chair and mumma rocks her to sleep, while humming to her. And then Aadya starts humming too.If mumma stops she stops..mumma starts n she starts too :)After around 15 mins, Mumma transfers her to the crib and baby opens her eyes, checks if everything is the same in her crib, cuddles up with Poochie and sleeps.( for an hour atleast.) Then mumma has to pat her to sleep again!
When she wakes up,she plays in her crib, waiting for us to get up..and then when she has waited long enough, she calls out to us in clear distinct,AYE..So sweetly called out, who can not answer her 🙂
Other sweet, happy times are bath times-Aadya loves to sit in her bath-tub and offlate has started to thrash her feet in the water and loves the resulting splash.A big grin lights up her face, when the water splashes!
Not one to stay in one spot, she has learned to kick the floor with her heels and move her body. So,there is no way, mumma can leave her on the bed or the couch. The only place for her is on the blanket spread out on the living room rug. I leave her at point A..and in no time she lands up at point B, defintely not on the blanket and at an angle of 90degrees from point A.The scene that typically greets me is my baby girl gazing up at the ceiling, with her hands clasped together,in a thinker pose!
After our early morning nursing sesssions,I bring Aadya to our bed and her favorite passtime is playing with mumma’s hair, touching mumma’s face,Papa’s face and finally falling asleep with one hand holding papa’s night shirt and other holding Mumma’s hair!
When Mumma wakes up and sees this beautiful sight, what more could she ask for 🙂
Happy 4 months,my love!

Aadya’s First Social Event!

Last Sunday Aadya attended her first Social event.Nothing fancy,It was a 4 year old’s birthday party.
I was really excited to take Aadya to a social gathering for the first time.I was curious to watch her expressions and her interaction with people and kids.I already know she loves watching kids playing. When we take her to the mall, she goes crazy looking at all the kids playing in kids area or walking with the parents or sitting in their strollers!
The party was on Sunday, and we had already had a tiring day the previous day with our Grand Canyon Trip and so I didn’t know if she would be tired or fussy.Anyway,I gave her a bath and just put her down for her morning nap a little early .It was a lunch party. We got dressed and reached there.Aadya was wearing a red shirt, knotted at the waist and a denim skirt with red frills, matching her shirt

A group of 3 girls(H,A,J),(DH’s colleagues) started to fight for Aadya’s attention. They had seen her as a newborn and we had been planning to meet up for a long time after that,it just didn’t work out. And Aadya, the epitome of grace, smiled at all of them coyly;she didn’t even mind being traded from one person to another and if I can say so, basked in their combined appreciation. After that it was just one fan after other and Princess Aadya, graced them all with coy smiles, even showering a choice fan with her toothless grin. She didn’t even mind wearing the party hat!I was feeling a tad guilty about her stealing the thunder from the the birthday boy.Not that he seemed to mind it,he was too happy playing with his cute friend.
For cake cutting,J offered to hold her and she didn’t fuss. She was so fascinated with the balloons and candles and kids! When it was time to sit down for lunch, DH strapped her in to her stroller and she sat there happily looking around, till she got sleepy. One of DH’s colleague’s wife offered to hold her, while i finished eating. And Aadya went to sleep , no fuss, no crying, just slept without any trouble.
She slept for 20-25 mins-Her Power nap!! and woke up fresh,to charm the crowd again. This time it was time for a photo session. H,A&J brought their cameras out and this time they were joined by another girl,K.They all took turns holding her and clicking snaps with her.Everyone promised to send me snaps, which I am still waiting for,by the way.So, you girls,if you are reading this, you know what to do.
At the end of the party,DH went to drop these girls home, while Aadya n mumma stayed back at the party. Aadya saw the birthday boy playing with his friends, and was suddenly attracted to him.Why you ask? Beacuse he had changed clothes and was wearing a nice red Kurta-suit.Did I mention, red is her favorite color 🙂
Then her eyes followed him wherever he went, occasionally even screaming,as if to call him.Unfortunately her advances were not answered.A four year old has more important things to do..like run around and jump on the couch, than look at a little baby. So, mumma just stood there with her, and let her watch their game to her heart.
It was a great party,we all enjoyed a lot, meeting new people and just relaxing. This was the first party,we attended in a long long time. But all the fun was possible only because of one little charmer,Aadya. She was such an angel(knock on the wood) We couldnt stop smiling when everyone came and told us how adorable she is..
Here’s my little party gal in her Party hat!
